active for almost 10 years now, and known mostly for his vinyl release
on the Marasm label. Not exactly uplifting or accessible, this "feast
for vultures" is an intense album, abrasive and dark. Made of slowly
changing noises, heavy drones, and unexpected beats, it is an oppressive
and resolutely dark album which should appeal to both harsh noise fans
and people who still like to find some beats here and there in their
statics. Dense.

Umkra "Festin de Vautours" CD (Marasm) Experimental dub from the depths of the Paris underground. Marasm has done a good job of documenting this emerging industrial noize/dub scene in Paris. Umkra has finally blessed us with a dark slab of delay and ambience from their roster. These folks are definitely not trying to sound like anyone else and have succeeded at creating something original and dirty. Twelve tracks with a nice remix by Tzii.
